Several Pictures Paint a Trillion Words

I’m tempted to steal the “money shot” (no pun intended) from this article, but it’s best if you just read the whole thing yourself.

What does one TRILLION dollars look like?

I have heard another analogy to drive home how big 1 trillion dollars actually is. I first heard it from Guy Adami on Fast Money. The analogy is...

If one were to spend one million dollars a day from January 1, 0000 until now, one would still not have spent 1 trillion dollars.

As of 3/30/2009, it works out to something close to $758,485,000,000. We would have to spend $1,000,000 a day for almost 2740 years to get to a trillion.
